Overview of main results

We are pleased to share the results achieved through Erasmus Plus project disABILITIES Beyond Limits - "Empowering young women to build a better future", which focused on promoting inclusion and empowerment for young women with disabilities. Here is an overview of the key outcomes:

1. Inclusion Support Circles Methodology: The project developed a comprehensive methodology for practitioners, consisting of two parts. The first part focused on the implementation of face-to-face sessions, providing practical guidance and strategies for fostering inclusion in various settings. The second part focused on virtual sessions, offering best practices and tools for online facilitation, enabling practitioners to effectively engage with participants in virtual environments.

2. Virtual Portfolio with Training Modules: A virtual portfolio was created, featuring two applied training modules: Leadership and Community Problem Solving. These modules were designed to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge to become effective leaders and community problem solvers.

3. disABILITIES Civic LAB: An online compendium of 12 scenarios was developed in collaboration with young women with disabilities (YWwD) and practitioners. These scenarios focus on practicing transferable skills in leadership and problem solving, providing practical guides for practitioners to support inclusive learning environments.

4. Transnational Training Program: A transnational training program titled "Building Scenarios" was conducted as part of the project. Additionally, three national sessions were organized to transfer know-how to other experts working with YWwD on various scenarios for more applicative and inclusive contexts.

5. National Workshops: Nine national workshops were held with YWwD to build scenarios, involving collaboration with the project's four partners: Federation for the Accessibility of Romania (the applicant), ACE ES Romania, CESUR Spain, and NCDP Greece. These workshops facilitated the co-creation of scenarios tailored to the specific needs and experiences of young women with disabilities.

The project has made significant strides in promoting inclusion, empowerment, and capacity-building among young women with disabilities and practitioners. We extend our gratitude to all partners, stakeholders, and participants involved in this endeavor for their dedication and contributions to its success.
